In 2008, Point of Contact presented the exhibit El Golem: Visual Visitations, featuring works by a collective of artists that included Sarah Kipp. Her multi-media piece, specifically utilizing video, performance, and narrative storytelling, was The Looker, The Maker, The Red Ribbon Taker. True to her artistic style, Kipp’s contribution to this exhibition explored themes of the multifaceted self, human genetics, memory, and the thin boundary between the beautiful and the monstrous. These elements blended into the overall exhibition's conceptual framework, which drew inspiration from the mythical creation of the Golem in Jorge Luis Borges' poem of that same title. The poem, “El Golem”, first published in 1959, tells the story of Judah Loew and his creation of the Golem.
