Marta Chilindrón, born in 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, is a New York–based contemporary artist known for her vibrant geometric sculptures made of transparent acrylic, using multiple planes to create form. Mouthpiece (series, 1993), created in collaboration with Eduardo Costa, is representative of her work in the early 1990s. The series was first published by Punto de Contacto in its issue No. 3, Vol. 3, The America’s Baroque.
