Renata Barros (b. 1959, São Paulo) works with a wide range of materials including etched wood, glass, photography, and latex. She has exhibited her work widely in Paris, Berlin, Cologne, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Brussels, and in her native São Paulo. Her works are part of collections of museums and foundations such as: Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, MASP Museu de Arte de São Paulo, MAC Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo, Rio Branco Institute - Brasilia, Goethe Institute in Bonn (Germany), Heinrich Böll Foundation Berlin (Germany), Fundação Padre Anchieta São Paulo (Brazil), MAC Museum of Contemporary Art of Paraná (Brazil).
Her piece titled Caderno de Desenhos, now in the Point of Contact permanent collection, was exhibited in the 2024 Point of Contact exhibit Libro de Artista in collaboration with the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Argentina. It was also on view during the fall 2025 exhibit commemorating Point of Contact’s 50th anniversary, 50 Sin Cuenta.
