Point of Contact 1975

This 1975 edition of Point of Contact (Vol. 1, No. 1) includes Jean Franco's essay on the limits of the liberal imagination, examining One Hundred Years of Solitude and Nostromo; texts by Noé Jitrik; an interview with Eldridge Cleaver; poems by Christopher Middleton; José Ruibal's notes on production; Raimundo Panikkar's message on India's journey from yesterday to today; and Pedro Cuperman's reading of Rayuela.

In its early years, Point of Contact emerged as an independent editorial project, producing a unique bilingual literary journal dedicated to interdisciplinary exploration. Emphasizing that literature, criticism, art, and social commentary are interconnected reflections, the journal published essays, visual works, reviews, notes, and critical discussions across cultural and national boundaries.
