Luis Felipe Noé (1933–2025, Buenos Aires, Argentina), one of Latin America's most influential contemporary artists, he was a leading figure of the Nueva Figuración Argentina movement, which emerged in 1961. A neo-expressionist painter, writer, critic, and art theorist, Noé is renowned for his bold, expressive works that explore the concepts of chaos, complexity, and social reality.
A Oriente Por Occidente by Luis Felipe Noé was published by Arte Dos Gráfico. The edition consists of 500 copies, numbered in Arabic numerals, and includes 136 pages produced in offset printing and silkscreen. It is a softcover publication. The overall design was created by Luis Ángel Parra. The edition was completed and printed at the workshops of Arte Dos Gráfico on November 30, 1992.
His artist book, A Oriente Por Occidente, now part of the Point of Contact art collection, was exhibited in the 2024 exhibit Libro de Artista, presented in collaboration with the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes of Argentina. It was also featured in 50 Sin Cuenta, Point of Contact's 50th anniversary exhibition in the fall of 2025.
