Maureen Connor (b. 1942, New York, NY) is an American artist renowned for her conceptual and socially engaged practice, which often explores themes of labor, gender, and the politics of care. Working across photography, installation, and performance, Connor has consistently challenged traditional notions of art spaces and audience engagement.

Her work has been exhibited widely in the United States and internationally, including solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

Connor’s projects frequently document everyday gestures and intimate moments, transforming them into critical reflections on society, community, and personal relationships. “Good Morning” (2002) exemplifies her subtle, thoughtful approach, capturing black-and-white images that resonate with quiet observation and conceptual depth. Good Morning is part of the Point of Contact permanent collection.
