Black Shoes is a collaborative work by Liliana Porter and Ana Tiscornia merging two distinct artistic languages. Porter brings philosophical exploration of metaphor, while Tiscornia contributes her politically engaged practice rooted in memory and current events. The work features one of Porter's signature figurines intruding upon an alien space created from Tiscornia's digitalized photography, fragmented objects, and rolled pieces of newspaper. The fusion of both languages gives rise to a narrative where visual ambiguity opens new ways of interpretation.
