The Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund
In celebration of Punto de Contact – Point of Contact’s beloved founder, Pedro Cuperman, the Point of Contact Board of Directors is honored to announce the creation of the Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund. This new initiative will continue the unique artistic vision of Pedro Cuperman by supporting artists and poets whom work with Point of Contact every year.
Founded in 1975 by Pedro Cuperman, Point of Contact began as an editorial project dedicated to publishing creative scholarship and original works of art side-by-side, thus providing a cross disciplinary space for writers, scholars, and visual artists. In 2005, Point of Contact expanded its vision with the opening of a gallery dedicated to the exploration of contemporary verbal and visual arts, with a strong focus on Latin America. Throughout its history Point of Contact’s mission has been to form inspired communities; to innovate through artistic concepts that may resonate locally and globally; to work expansively where intellectual and geographic boundaries are concerned, and to share the experience.
The Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund will directly uphold this vision by supporting the artists that are the life force and soul of the organization. All proceeds donated to the Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund will help to support artist and poet honorariums, travel, and costs associated with exhibiting and presenting work at Point of Contact Gallery. It is the hope of Point of Contact’s Board of Director’s that this fund will ensure the success and legacy of Pedro Cuperman’s unique vision for years to come.
Donations to the Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund are tax deductible and can be made at puntopoint.org by clicking on the donate button above, or by writing a check to Point of Contact with attention to the Pedro Cuperman Memorial Fund.
